Having an issue? Sending us your debug logs helps us find and fix the problem fast. It only takes a minute — just follow the steps for your device.
Reproduce the issue first. Logging is always on, so there's nothing to switch on. Make the problem happen one more time, then open Debug Logs straight away — the details are already captured.
Follow these steps on your phone or tablet (iPhone, iPad or Android).
On the home screen, tap the Settings gear in the top-right corner.
In Settings, find and tap About & Support (subtitle: Version, feedback, legal, debug logs).
Scroll to the Diagnostics section and tap Debug Logs.
At the top of the Debug Logs screen, tap the Copy logs icon. This copies everything to your clipboard.
Open your email app, start a new message to the address below, paste the logs into the body, and send. A quick line about what went wrong helps too!
On Android TV / Google TV there's no keyboard for email, so the app hands the logs to your phone with a quick QR scan. Keep your phone nearby.
On the home screen, use the remote to select the Settings gear in the top-right corner.
Select About & Support from the Settings list.
Under Diagnostics, select Debug Logs.
At the top of the Debug Logs screen, choose Send to phone . A QR code will appear.
Open your phone's camera, point it at the QR code on the TV, then tap the link that pops up.
Make sure your phone and TV are on the same Wi-Fi.
The page that opens on your phone loads the logs from the TV. Tap Email to support . Your logs are copied automatically and a new email opens — paste them into the message (long-press → Paste), then send.
